I'M THERESA &
THIS IS HOT PEOPLE CRY

This is what I offer:

I provide relational, trauma-informed counselling that supports you in doing the emotional work necessary to set you up to reach your individual goals and experience life in a way that’s fulfilling to you.

This is how I do it (in a bit more detail):

I provide space and guidance to explore and work through emotional and behavioural patterns, not only cognitively but in a way that allows emotions to be felt sufficiently and capacities to be built. Like this, your old patterns can be shifted into new ones that serve the way you want to live life.

We don’t rush insight or try to think our way out of things. We work at your individual pace, which allows your emotions to be addressed so that change becomes something you can actually feel in your life, rather than a brief moment of “omg that explains everything” that fades quickly without impact.

This is why it is beneficial to:

Your old patterns affect many areas of life: romantic relationships, friendships, career, self-image, joy & happiness.

Constructively addressing how they hold you back offers the chance to move towards your goals and how you want to experience life, and sets you up to be happier :)

Your ability to hold space for others

is equal to your courage to explore your own depths.

My Approach to Our Work:
I believe that as a relational counsellor, I can only emotionally support my clients as far as I have been willing to go myself. To hold a safe space for you and provide support when things get rocky or feelings get messy, I consistently spend time addressing my own patterns and history. This way, I make sure that your processes receive the time, space, and emotional depth they need without being rushed or approached too superficially.

That shaped the way I show up for my clients today:
My counselling training, “Break The Pattern® - Training in Trauma-Informed Systemic Counselling and Constellation Work“ by Merle Seemann, made a big difference in how I view attachment, emotional patterns, and the counselling process. Over the course of two years, I explored and worked through my own topics in depth while learning how to provide a space for you to do the same. The training, including the deep emotional work and the company of my dear colleagues, inspired me deeply and enabled my personal and professional growth.

Additional Support to Ensure Quality:
To make sure you receive the best possible support, I regularly engage in confidential, professional intervision with trusted colleagues and mentors (done anonymously!). This 'second pair of eyes' offers fresh perspectives and additional insights on your situation and my work, helping me tailor my approach even more closely to your unique journey and goals.
